Gerald Martin Construction Management is a division of Gerald A. Martin, Ltd., an award-winning construction company founded in 1974 and headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with offices in Santa Fe, and Taos.
The Gerald Martin Construction Management team brings extensive expertise to Spaceport America, with a group of specialists experienced in the areas of aviation facilities, Fire/EMS facilities servicing aeronautic and rocket facilities, and in working with NASA.
Gerald Martin Construction Management will act as the owner’s representative for the New Mexico Spaceport Authority (NMSA) during the construction of Spaceport America.

Spaceport America’s construction will happen in two phases. Phase I is the programming stage including roads, utilities, etc. Phase II will involve the full-fledged design. The project will integrate building materials and methods that promote environmental quality, economic vitality, and social benefit.

Foster + Partners worked in partnership with URS Corporation to design Spaceport America. Foster + Partners is an international studio for architecture, planning and design. The practice’s work ranges in scale from the largest single building on the planet, Beijing International airport, to its smallest commission, a range of door furniture. Since its inception the practice has worked in 73 countries, has received more than 500 awards and citations for excellence and has won 92 national and international competitions.
